Holy wow! There was an incredible variety of deliciousness at Home Ec’s Homemade for Haiti. I didn’t catch the names of the actual makers, but here’s some pics from the event. Everything there was not only delicious, but also adorable… but I’m not surprised.

There’s just about a week left to apply for one of the earliest holiday shows of 2009 in Orange County! The Handmade Brigade, who puts on an awesome show in our opinion, is looking for applicants for the 2009 Holiday Show, to be held Sunday, November 1st at The Camp in Costa Mesa.

Applications can be found here, and the website says more details coming soon, but in our experience, the Handmade Brigade always has a fantastic selection, ranging from art, clothing, upcycling, vintage and more. Keep an eye out on their website for more information!

The San Diego craft collective Handmade Revolution will be putting on a Summer Trunk Show Saturday, August 8th starting at 11am! Jewelry will be the highlight of the show, but we here at Crafty Scout have a particularly soft spot in our hearts for The Novel Novel’s blank books bound from old books. If you’re in San Diego this weekend and you’re looking to support handmade, stop by and find something crafty!
